An uncharacteristically cold and stormy weekend set the stage for the third Archery Shooters Association tournament of the year in Paris, Texas - but the weather and cold temperatures had little effect on Scott Archery and Custom Bow Equipment shooter Justin Hannah.
Hannah, shooting a Scott Longhorn Pro Advantage and CBE Vertex Micro, concluded Saturday’s scoring round at a 224, just in time for the storm to land, and ended Sunday’s round in a shoot down spot. Hannah impressed with confidence, and finished in third place. Through the weekend, Hannah shot a total of 25 12’s, just three behind second place finisher Kevin Dukes.
“Justin battled through the elements and shot consistently well this weekend, and when you’re dealing with things out of your control, you depend on your equipment to help you make that perfect shot,” said Darrin Christenberry, Scott/CBE Pro Staff Manager. “We’re proud of Justin’s accomplishments this year and we’re excited to see what he has up his sleeve for the remaining ASA’s of the year.”
Also finishing in the top 10 for Scott Archery and CBE were:
- Megan Freeman (3rd - Women's Pro)
- Nathan Brooks (Men’s Known Pro)
- Jacob Marlow (Men’s Known Pro)
- Chance Beaubouef (Men’s Known Pro)
